Riser Doors contain fire in the riser shaft so a fire cannot spread to other floors in a multi-storey building.Â
The Empress Christo Steel Range of Riser Doors are almost 100mm thick providing an acoustic value of 44dB & guarantee reliable levels of fire protection.
The Empress Christo Timber Range of Riser Doors offer up to 1 hour for insulation and integrity.

HOW THEY FIT
Arriving at site fully assembled, simply offer up to the prepared opening and screw into place. Doors are available with full-length piano hinges or as pivoting doors which easily clip into their frames.
The doors can be ordered with a picture or beaded frame for tape and jointing into the surrounding surface.
HOW THEY WORK
‘T’ Key or Euro Cylinder Locked for security. The doors have a 5 Point Locking Mechanism securing the leaf in 5 places.
In the event of fire, the 100mm thick leaf is held securely in place. The doors have a powder-coated finish with a temporary protective Corex board face. The doors can be over painted on-site to blend into the surrounding wall.
FIRE RATING
These doors have been successfully tested by Exova Warrington & Chilton International Fire for over 2.5 hours.

Used in many iconic buildings, the 100mm thick Empress Christo Two Hour Fire Rated Shaftwall Steel Riser Door is protecting lives every day.
For 2-hour fire rating width matters, always order 100mm thick doors.
The Empress Christo Steel Riser Door comes with complex multipoint security with concealed locking bars factory installed into the door envelope but easily accessed for maintenance.
To further conceal the door the locking point has two concealment options to choose from.

The fire tested Empress Christo Riser Doors provide protection to riser openings preventing fire from escaping from the riser shafts and spreading throughout multi-storey buildings.
This is possibly the most important access door in the building for preventing the spread of fire to other floors.
Doors up to 2747mm high have been tested guaranteeing accurate levels of protection.

Quick & Easy Fitting
By taking advantage of the unique spring-loaded pivot hinging system, installation time is reduced offering significant savings in fitting costs with the advantage of being able to simply remove the doors giving the benefit of a full clear opening when required.
Frame Options
There are two frame options for the Empress Christo Riser Doors.
A Beaded Frame type (SBF) with a perforated flange to key into the surrounding membrane. This is used where the surface has yet to be skimmed or tape and jointed.
Or the picture frame (PF), where the solid flange sits on the surface of the wall or ceiling. This covers the cut edge of the aperture and is used when the surface has already been finished and decorated.
Fire Rated
Available with up to 1 hour or 2 hours fire rating.
Fire testing undertook independently by BM TRADA meeting both EN and BS standards in UKAS approved test laboratories.
Acoustic rated
Available to a maximum reduction of 47 dB Rw.
Testing was carried out under laboratory conditions to BS EN ISO140-3: 1995 by an independent test centre.
